The Internet

...is the single most powerful tool you will ever have. Use it wisely.

dictionaries

Online dictionaries. Inta-netto jishou. I could tell you a million stories about how absolutely sad it was to look up Japanese before online and electronic interfaces, but none of those stories will help you study. Please use online dictionaries and be happy.

TOOLS

There are countless  ways to study that will help you learn more quickly and more deeply than just reading something over and over again. Most of those ways are games, and there is no game not made better by the addition of the Internet.

CONNECTIONS

Need motivation to study? Want to make new friends? Connect with native speakers and trade your English expertise for their help learning Japanese. Many Japanese people go to great lengths to find an English-speaking study partner; these sites are just a few places to get started.
